Nexx X.WED3 Furka with Cardo Edge fitted.

I needed a solution to fit my Cardo packtalk Edge to my new Nexx X.WED Furka helmet. Initially I tried 3d printing and adapter which was available on Thingiverse and although this did fit it was never strong enough no matter how I printed it using PETG filament and so I bought a tubsjackson adapter. I'm very happy to report that this product looks great and seems to have the right amount of strength/flexibility required for such an application. The adapter has fitted perfectly snugg into the helmets original intercom slot without any worrying play/looseness. In my opinion the Cardo Edge sits incredibly neatly to the side of the Nexx helmet looking like a proper integrated unit, much better than it did on my Arai Tour X4.
If you are considering whether or not to buy one of these adapters don't hesitate, I don't think you'll regret it and granted, they are a bit expensive but so are the intercoms they are designed to secure in place.

Looks like it's well built. Installed into the helmet easily. Have not had a chance to ride my bike with my Nexx helmet yet with adapter and radio on it.

Good’ish

The fitting is fine, fits nice and securely into the placement notch in the helmet. However I do grave concerns about the strength of the plastic. Even compared to the original plastic cover on the helmet the plastic used to make the adapter seems extremely weak. It definitely doesn’t warrant the £40 paid for it. My concern is if I was to accidentally drop the helmet, the adapter would just snap. That’s £40 wasted.

I’m sorry to hear you have concerns about the strength of the material. Could I ask, has your adapter actually broken yet?

For context, we use PA12 Nylon for our adapters because it’s both strong and flexible, UV resistant, and designed to withstand adverse riding conditions. However In the event of a strong impact, it’s engineered to break apart along predefined fault lines. This ensures that, rather than causing damage to the helmet or communication unit, it absorbs the force safely.
